About Me
I’m a Manchester-based music producer and sound engineer working primarily within UK hip-hop and R&B. With over 15 years of experience creating and releasing music, I’ve contributed to nationally charting releases including Meekz – Like Me (BPI Gold) and Respect The Come Up (BPI Silver) in addition to projects that have received national radio support across BBC Radio and others platforms.
Alongside commercial work, I built an independent following through my Art & Soul beat tape series, a collection of sample-driven instrumental projects that have gained over 10 million views online. The series established my identity as a producer rooted in soulful samples, textured drums and mood-led composition, resonating with artists and listeners all over the world..
As the founder of The Hit Stop, I work directly with artists across production, recording, mixing and mastering, as well as artist development. I focus on delivering sessions that are structured, organic and performance-led, insuring ideas are captured with clarity and intent. The aim is always to create music that feels genuine, connects with listeners and translates commercially while maintaining artist identity.

Studio Owner
The Hit Stop (2022 - Present)
I founded and operate The Hit Stop, an independent recording studio focused on professional vocal recording, music production, mixing and mastering. I manage sessions from booking through delivery, overseeing recording, mixing and mastering while maintaining a structured and efficient workflow. The studio supports both emerging and commercially released artists within UK hip-hop and R&B.

Freelance (2015 - Present)
As a freelance producer and engineer, I work across production, recording, mixing and mastering for independent and charting artists. My role involves building records from initial concept through to final delivery, ensuring clarity, balance and commercial translation. Projects I’ve contributed to have achieved national chart positions and BPI certifications.

Riddle (2008 - Present)
Under the name Riddle, I release solo material that reflects my background in soulful, sample-driven production. My Art & Soul series built an independent audience online, generating over 10 million views and establishing my identity as both producer and artist. My releases focus on cohesive arrangement, honest lyricism and strong sonic detail.
Volunteer / Assistant Producer
Leeds Metropolitan University Radio (2011-2012)
During my time at Leeds Metropolitan University Radio, I assisted in the production of theme music, sound design and audio content for a range of broadcast shows. The role involved editing material for radio compliance, ensuring tracks met broadcast standards, and collaborating with presenters and production staff to develop creative ideas and on-air content.

I worked as recording engineer on this release, overseeing vocal tracking and session preparation. Maintaining clarity and consistency across takes was key, ensuring the vocal sat cleanly within the instrumental while preserving performance character. The project required professional-level workflow discipline and attention to detail.

I produced the instrumental for this release, building the track around a sample-driven foundation with emphasis on mood and energy. The aim was to balance melodic texture with rhythmic weight, allowing the vocal to sit naturally within the arrangement. Particular attention was given to drum programming and structural progression.

I recorded Meekz’s verse on this release, focusing on capturing a clean, controlled vocal performance within a rhythm-led, high-energy instrumental. Attention was given to mic positioning, gain staging and performance consistency to ensure clarity and presence against a percussive, club-oriented production.
Nadette - Nadette Vol. 1
Role: Music Production, Vocals, Recording, Mixing & Mastering
I produced, recorded, mixed and mastered the entire project, overseeing the creative and technical direction from initial concept to final master. The production balances melodic texture with rhythmic structure, with emphasis on vocal presence and emotional clarity. Several tracks received BBC Introducing support.

I handled the full production and engineering process across the project, shaping the sonic identity from instrumental foundations through to final master. The focus was on cohesive arrangement, controlled vocal dynamics and consistent tonal balance across all tracks, ensuring the project translated effectively across streaming platforms.
Ubisoft Music - PostMatch (Rainbow Six Siege)
Role: Music Production, Composition, Arrangement & Drum Programming
I contributed three original productions to the overall project for Ubisoft / Rainbow Six Seige, working within an established sonic framework while maintaining my own production identity. The emphasis was on atmosphere, rhythmic drive and cohesion within a collaborative production environment involving multiple different contributors.
Riddle - Art & Soul Vol. 1-3
Role: Music Production, Sound Design, Mixing & Mastering
The Art & Soul series is a sample-driven beat tape collection through which I developed my independent following, generating over 10 million views online. Each project was fully produced and mixed by me, blending soulful textures, layered drum programming and mood-led arrangement. The series established myself as an artist/producer.
